Colin and Carly
Colin is a truly lovable chap, with a smile that lights up the room and a heart as big as the ocean. Carly is his perfect match that complements his playfulness and joy. Their bond emits a unique togetherness, one that’s undeniably special. Even for those absent loved ones who couldn’t join them physically, their presence was felt deeply, woven into the fabric of their wedding day and etched forever in their hearts.

Your kind words
Dan is incredible!
In addition to having him for our wedding day, we also flew down for a quick pre-wedding shoot in Queenstown. He made the most fantastic shots out of seemingly ordinary backdrops – the results were jaw dropping to say the least! Our wedding photos were better than we could have imagined as well – I honestly wasn’t sure how he could have managed to take photos from so many angles in such a short time. You would have thought he was a ninja! Despite the ceremony only being about 15 minutes long – Dan managed to capture all the right moments as well as get various close-ups as well as wide shots to capture the whole ceremony in great detail.
On his suggestion, we made a trip up to Bayonet Peak via helicopter and it was honestly the one of the best decisions we could have made. The views from the top were amazing and our first helicopter ride was one of highlights of the wedding itself. Dan unsurprisingly managed to get really great shots from there – he would run a good 500m on a rocky ledge to get the perfect shot for us.
I can’t recommend him enough – as a wedding photographer, Dan is truly the man. A great guy to talk to, friendly and offers great advice on what we should do.
If your down in Queenstown looking for a photographer… look no further! Dan is your man 😉
When we met him, we immediately clicked with him. He’s a really easy-going, funny guy but very professional at the same time.
Amongst all the photographers we met up with, Dan was the one who asked us the most questions about what we wanted rather than tell us what he can do. He listened and understood what we were after, and on the day he created and captured exactly that and more.
Looking back at our photos now, we can see a side to our wedding that we didn’t know happened. We have no idea how on earth he managed to get all those shots in but we think the guys who called him a ninja are onto something!
We had a overcast and at times rainy day, but the photos he produced are like something out of the movies. We don’t know how he did it but he even managed to get a full circle rainbow to follow our helicopter back. Try getting that with another photographer! (Disclaimer-Full Circle Rainbow not guaranteed)
He was just like one of our friends, he blended just perfectly on the day with everyone and has been an absolute dream to work with, both before, during and after the wedding.
We can’t recommend him highly enough, thanks so much Dan, for making the memories of our day even better than what we remembered.
His amazing energy fills the session with light and helps even the most unphotogenic person to life and involved in the shoot.
Getting married overseas was a lot of pressure but not when it came to Dan, he helped me not only in the photo side but helped me figure out timing for the day.
If you need a photographer for any occassion, I highly recommend Dan Childs!
The feedback from our friends and family, not only about the incredible photos, but also about how Dan interacted with everyone on the day, has been fantastic.
He’s easy to deal with (we organised our wedding remotely from London), creative/artistic and everything a photographer should be, but most importantly he asks what you want and he listens.
He is passionate about making sure you receive a collection of photos that represent and reflect your amazing wedding day.
Thank you Dan for helping us record and share the best day of our lives.
We have had a huge number of comments about the quality of the shots and how they captured us as a couple so well.
Dan was recommended by a friend of ours, and I am recommending him highly to anyone looking for a photographer, wedding or otherwise.
Thanks again Dan!
You will end up with the most amazing photos. So glad we went with Dan. You wont be disappointed.
He was so good at telling people where he wants them but in such a relaxed way!
We adore our photos!
I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to sending them out to friends and family.
Thank you again.
